What will we be doing?
How do we have fun and adventure in life and make a difference in our world as a teen? Easy! Build skills and character while building homes for the poor! During the Easter break, 100 youth, students and adults will be constructing simple buildings. The buildings will be made out of corrugated iron & shipping containers. The group will sleep in a local school in a secured area near the site while in Johannesburg. The emphasis of the trip will be to help others in need while being personally challenged physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.A word to parents For over 25 years YMP have worked diligently to maintain control of our working environment. Be assured that safety is our primary concern. We will be working with Rainbow FM 90.7 Radio to secure a safe work site with easy access to “first world” medical coverage. We will only consume food purchased from trusted outlets such as Makro, and the group will be covered by an extensive Health Insurance Plan. All leaders will be checked for the possession of a current DBS Disclosure / Police check, and there will be on-site trained first aiders.
